West Nile Virus Detected
Mosquitoes from multiple locations in Cheyenne have tested positive for WNV. Weed and Pest crews plan to truck spray the evenings of June 30th to July 3rd as weather permits. More information available on the "Pesticide Applications - Mosquito Treatments" page.
Report Biting Mosquitoes
The City of Cheyenne Weed & Pest Division traps adult mosquitoes nightly during the summer, spring, and fall to track mosquito populations and to test for vector-borne diseases. Trapping information is by no means comprehensive and citizen reporting can help us better track mosquito activity in the area. You can also report standing water that may contribute to increased mosquito numbers.
